Peace of Mind
PriceCo is very concerned about internet security, so we’ve gone out of our way to give you peace of mind when shopping and making purchase transactions on our priceco.org site. We’ve taken the steps below:
- Added SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to our website for added transaction security
- We use a third party PCI Compliant Payment Gateway for your credit card transaction or payment.
- We do not store credit card information on our servers.
SSL or SSL Certificate, what is it?
When shopping online, you should always be concerned that no one is snooping or trying to gather your information while filling out online forms or credit card information. An SSL Certificate provides proof of site ownership, letting you know that you are actually dealing with the specific company you want to do business with. It allows a secure online transaction with 256 bit encryption. You can see this our our site by:
- clicking the green lock beside the https: on your browser,
- click Details,
- and then click view certificate:

PCI Complaint, what is it?
PriceCo uses the payment gateway Stripe (Stripe.com). We at PriceCo make sure that your personal and credit card information is handled in the most secure way, and by using a PCI compliant third-party we ensure that. The PCI stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information must keep a secure environment. This standard was launched in 2006.
